This year marks my first year serving on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of Upstate, and it’s already been one of the most meaningful roles I’ve taken on. As a Gamma Phi Beta alumna—whose national philanthropy partner is Girls on the Run—I’ve long believed in the power of building strong, confident girls. Now, I’m proud to support that mission right here in my community.
Over the past few years, I also began my own journey as a runner. Crossing those first finish lines taught me something I wish I had learned much earlier in life: I am far more capable than I ever gave myself credit for. That discovery has been empowering, healing, and life-changing.
I want every girl to feel that same spark of confidence now, not years from now. Girls on the Run does exactly that—through movement, mentorship, and lessons that build resilience, joy, leadership, and self-belief.
By supporting this campaign, you’re helping more girls discover their strength, their voice, and their limitless potential.
A Little Thank-You from Me (That Won’t End Up at Goodwill)
This Giving Tuesday, a lot of campaigns are offering mugs, beanies, or trinkets you’ll lovingly appreciate for… about a week before they mysteriously migrate to Goodwill.
I’m doing something different.
I’m giving you my time.
For every $25 donated to my Girls on the Run fundraising goal, I’ll gift you one hour of my time for just about anything you need—within reason and legality, restrictions definitely apply.
Need someone to:
Be your “I-don’t-want-to-pay-for-an-Uber” ride home from a show?
Entertain your kids so you can have an actual adult evening?
Walk your dog who has more energy than all of us combined?
Hold a flashlight while you attempt a DIY project that “should only take 10 minutes”?
Or just be an extra pair of hands for whatever life throws your way?
I’m your girl.
Your donation empowers the girls in our community and gets you a little help in your own world too. A true win-win.
