Girls’ self-confidence begins to decline by the age of 9 and physical activity levels follow at the age of 10. Since 2000, Girls on the Run Georgia has offered inclusive out-of-school-time programs, Girls on the Run (3rd-5th grade) and Heart & Sole (6th-8th grade), to help girls recognize their inner strength, increase their physical activity, and create positive connections.
Led by trained volunteer coaches, each session guides girls on a 12-week journey of personal growth, culminating in a celebratory 5K that leaves them with a tangible sense of achievement and the skills to set and accomplish future goals. Through a fun and supportive environment, girls build confidence, strengthen their character, and learn to care for themselves and others. They develop meaningful connections with peers and mentors, while discovering how to make a positive impact in their communities.
Your gift today will empower girls in Georgia to unlock their unlimited potential and provide her with a safe, supportive environment where she feels valued, understood, and connected.
