Help A.G. Richardson Elementary Fund Her Finish Line

One team. One shared goal. An unforgettable finish line.

On November 15, the A.G. Richardson Elementary team will join more than 400 girls from across our region at the Girls on the Run Piedmont 5K.

For many girls, this will be the first time they have ever crossed a finish line. But the real magic is that they do not have to do it alone.

Every registered Girls on the Run participant may bring one Buddy Runner to complete the 5K beside her at no additional cost. We made that decision because every girl deserves to have someone show up for her—someone who encourages her when the course feels hard, celebrates her progress and crosses the finish line by her side.

A family’s finances should never determine whether a girl has that support.

Although Buddy Runners receive course access only, creating a safe, joyful and memorable 5K experience costs more than $10,000. The venue, girls’ shirts and medals, race bibs, team activities, course supplies, water and finish-line refreshments all make this celebration possible.

The A.G. Richardson Elementary team’s goal is to raise $25 for every girl on the team.

• $25 helps fund one girl-and-Buddy Runner experience
• $125 supports five girls and their Buddy Runners
• $250 supports ten girls and their Buddy Runners
• A gift of any amount moves the team closer to its goal

Every girl’s Buddy Runner is already welcome, whether or not the team reaches its fundraising goal. Gifts made through this page will be credited toward A.G. Richardson Elementary’s goal and will help Girls on the Run Piedmont create the 5K experience for girls from across our community.

Because when a girl looks beside her at the starting line, she should see someone who believes in her.
