In January 2024 I will be running the Walt Disney World Marathon event to raise money for Girls on the Run. The Dopey Challenge event consists of 4 runs in 4 days: 5k, 10k, ½ marathon and full marathon.
This is my first year participating in a runDisney event as a SoleMate. I am very excited to support a cause that is so important to the physical and emotional development of young women.
Girls on the Run operates physical activity-based programs for girls from 3rd to 8th grade that are designed to enhance girls’ social, emotional and physical skills and behaviors. The vision of this group is a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Can’t argue with that philosophy!
Running is a life-long journey for me. To be able to help others start or continue that path by raising funds for Girls on the Run is an honor and a privilege. Donations made to runDisney SoleMate support the scholarship fund for girls who otherwise would not have access to this life-long impactful program.
