On November 1, I am running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Girls on the Run, a transformative running-based program for youth! The NYC Marathon is a bucket-list dream, but joining a charity team makes this journey even more meaningful. Running with a cause turns those 26.2 miles into a mission of purpose. My personal running journey taught me that physical strength and mental endurance are inseparable, a lesson I wanted to pass on to the next generation. I’ve coached for GOTR and volunteered at several events, which gave me a strong passion for helping our youth understand the importance of being active! That passion inspired me to start a faith-based running program at my daughter’s school five years ago. Over the last half-decade, I have not only coached and developed the curriculum but also organized the end-of-season 5K, watching hundreds of girls finish their race. Witnessing them show up, tackle tough goals, and lift each other up has confirmed for me how vital it is to foster healthy, confident, and active habits early in life. Aligning my personal mission with GOTR brings my journey full circle, and I am excited to support the next generation of strong, smart, and bold girls. Because of Girls on the Run, participants gain a better understanding of who they are and what's important to them, recognize the value of team work and healthy relationships, build confidence to overcome obstacles, and know that they can positively impact and shape our world. Will you join me by making a gift to Girls on the Run today?
