When I moved to NYC three years ago, running quickly became one of the most accessible ways for me to get outside and be present with my body. Over time, it has pushed me to set goals for myself that once felt out of reach, including running the 2026 TCS NYC Marathon. Being able to do that while supporting Girls on the Run makes the experience even more meaningful.
Navigating girlhood can be confusing—and sometimes overwhelming! External pressures like social media, friends, and family expectations can shape how we view and feel about ourselves. As a SoleMate, I hope to show young girls that no goal or dream is too big. Running has taught me that progress often starts from within; you have to be the one who tells yourself to keep going, even when it feels uncomfortable.
As I train, fundraise, and ultimately cross the finish line in November, I’m committing not just to a race, but to showing young girls what’s possible when they believe in themselves.
