Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On July 19 & 20 I am fundraising for Girls on the Run of the Rockies by doing the 14er Challenge. Girls on the Run of the Rockies is more than a running program—it’s a movement that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through a curriculum that creatively integrates running. This program empowers girls in grades 3–8 to build inner strength, foster positive relationships, and set big goals—on the track and in life.
My colleague and I will join a team to take on the challenge of climbing two majestic 14,000 ft. peaks-- Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive-- over one EPIC weekend. Why? GOTR needs financial support to help more than 5,000 girls change the way they see themselves and their opportunities through after school programs. This year, we are hosting a fundraiser to ensure that every girl—regardless of her financial situation—has the opportunity to participate. Your tax-deductible donation in any amount helps cover:
- Scholarships for girls in need
- Running shoes and healthy snacks for the girls
- Training for caring and committed coaches
- Safe, supportive programming sites across the Rockies region
Girls on the Run programs are about so much more than running – they make an impact at a critical age when confidence and physical activity decline. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of young girls. Your generosity will help us reach the summit and beyond.
Thank you for your support,
Barb
