Girls on the Run of CNJ Run for a Reason
Want to make a difference in the life of a girl?
2026 is a milestone year for Girls on the Run of Central NJ—we are officially celebrating 25 years of empowering young girls in our community! As this incredible year comes to a close, we are inviting our Fall 2026 participants to lead the way in helping us reach a special goal: raising $25,000 for 25 years. To achieve this, we are launching Run for a Reason, a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign driven by our incredible GOTR participants.
In our GOTR lessons, we talk a lot about community—what it means to be a part of one, and how working together allows us to make a real difference. Participating in Run for a Reason gives the girls a hands-on opportunity to put those lessons into practice. By reaching out to friends, family, and neighbors, the girls will directly help raise funds for our scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to over 1,000 girls in low-income areas across our local communities.
It’s a wonderful way for our participants to ensure every girl gets the chance to run, grow, and build confidence, regardless of her financial background.
