I have the privilege of serving on the Board of Girls on the Run – DC, a nonprofit organization designed to enhance girls’ social, emotional and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences.
Throughout the course of the 10-week program, girls learn valuable lessons such as how to make intentional decisions, help others, and manage conflict while preparing to complete a 5K run. Crossing that 5K finish line is a life-defining moment when the girls realize that anything is possible!
I am so dedicated to ensuring that all girls have the opportunity to participate in this life-changing program. Girls on the Run – DC’s commitment to making sure that socio-economic status (SES) is not a barrier to participation is real. Last year, they provided scholarships to 73% of participants. I have set a goal to raise $5,000 to provide a team of girls with the opportunity to participate in this amazing program, and I am hoping I can count on your support.
