Hi Y'all and Thank You for Learning about My Why ((:
To begin, I grew up a sprinter, but never loved running and would do anything to avoid it until a meet day. (Anything more than a 100 meter sprint was asking a lot from me.) In adulthood, I turned to running as a workout, a way to get outside and move my body. Within the past year, running has become a passion of mine; It provides mental clarity, reinforces my ambitions, challenges my body and has brought me community. Two of my 2026 goals incorporate running- FINISH a half and full marathon. In March 2026, I am running the NYC Half Marathon, a distance I am excited to tackle! In November 2026 I'll be running another race! I have the incredible opportunity to run an Abbott World Marathon Major in one of my favorite cities in the world, with one of the best organizations I have ever worked with!
I am so excited to return to NYC and run the 2026 TCS NYC Marathon on November 1st as a Sole Mate with Girls on the Run! Girls on the Run serves to empower participants through a thoughtful and skill-building curriculum with added running components. This curriculum teaches real-world lessons centered on empathy, confidence, inclusion and friendship. As a team, we train for the season-ending 5K, an event where the girls boldly show themselves and others that they can do hard things! I can speak to the wonders this organization does for its girls, as a 6th-season returning coach! The confidence GOTR instills in participants is real and incredible- I am so thankful they can be part of an organization that shows them anything is possible. WOMEN ARE STRONG AND ABLE!
Please join me in continuing the mission of Girls on the Run and keep showing up for girls! All funds raised cover program fees for girls fully covered by scholarship! Help me in keeping girls encouraged, empowered and able to be their best selves!
Lets go run this marathon, because I am a girl who can do hard things <3
