At Girls on the Run Piedmont, we believe in something simple and powerful:
Every girl deserves the chance to discover she is capable of more than she ever imagined.
Through movement, mentorship, and research based lessons, girls learn how to manage emotions, build healthy friendships, stand up for themselves, and believe in their own strength. By the end of the season, many girls are saying something they never thought they could say:
“I can do hard things.”
But making that experience available to every girl takes a community.
It costs about $440 to provide the Girls on the Run experience for one girl, including trained volunteer coaches, curriculum materials, program support, and the end of season 5K celebration.
Thanks to our pay-what-you-can model, families contribute what they are able. On average, families pay about $93, and we make up the rest through donors who believe in the power of this program.
The Every Girl Fund helps ensure that no girl is turned away because of her family’s financial circumstances. It allows us to say yes to more schools, more teams, and more girls who are ready to grow in confidence and courage.
When you give to the Every Girl Fund, you are helping open the door for a girl who might not otherwise have the chance.
Together, we are building confident girls and stronger communities
