On November 1st, I am running the 2026 NYC Marathon for a plethora of reasons. As a first generation American, everything I do in the realm of sports is a luxury that my parents never experienced. I’ve been to the US Open and raced on ESPN. This is something that will bring pride to my family and my community as a Togolese American. The second reason is the fact that I love sports and the impact of sports on the youth. By raising money for GOTR, I can spread and increase the impact so kids just like me can experience luxury, build confidence and bring pride to their community and family.
