OUR MISSION:
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
THE PROGRAM:
Girls on the Run® is a 501(c)3 positive youth development program which combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Our core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development – their physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. Lessons help girls make positive decisions to avoid risky adolescent behaviors. At the end of each program the girls run a celebratory 5K to experience the exhilarating feeling of accomplishment. However, at Girls on the Run, the finish line is just the beginning, as our ultimate goal is to provide the girls with tools and resources that develop their ability to think critically - a skill that will serve them well for a lifetime.
OUR GOAL:
Girls on the Run of Snohomish County is excited to inspire more kids in our community during our 11th year! With your support we can continue to provide robust financial aid to any participant who needs it. Help us continue providing over 50% of participants with new running shoes and financial aid so they can fully participate in the program. We're grateful for every donation!
How your contribution can impact a girl in our community:
- $250 pays the registration fee for one girl for the entire 8 week season!
- $125 pays all program supplies for one team
- $75 pays CPR/First Aid training for five volunteer coaches
- $40 covers one pair of new running shoes for one girl
- Any amount will help to support our program!
