On November 1, I’ll be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Girls on the Run NYC with my son Riley, and I couldn’t be more excited. Running has been part of my life for over 20 years. Running has helped me sustain friendships, set and achieve goals, and maintain some sense of sanity. Nothing matches the pride you feel crossing a finish line, and I want more girls to experience that confidence. I first discovered Girls on the Run at the Flying Pig Half Marathon in Cincinnati and immediately connected with their mission. They offer a transformative, running‑based program that helps girls become joyful, healthy, and confident through a fun, experience‑driven curriculum. Each season ends with a celebratory, non‑competitive 5K that gives every participant a real sense of accomplishment.
As I celebrate my 60th year, supporting this mission while taking on the NYC Marathon feels especially meaningful. I would be grateful if you’d join me by making a gift to Girls on the Run today.
