I wanted to kick start 2021 with a purpose and giving back. Girls on the run is an organization that has sparked my interest since I heard about it in 2017. I would love to volunteer and have more involvement but my work schedule isn't in line with the volunteering hours. I think girls need more support at a young age to build confidence and respect for themselves and other girls. Having this support at a young age could be life altering as an adult.
2020 was different for everyone, including non-profits. We are all looking for new ways to learn, grow, educate, and participate. I hope fundraising will help this non profit find new ways to reach young girls even with social distancing.
I want a big push in January 2020 to reach $1000 by January 31,2021. I may have games and incentives for donors along the way once I can decide something that includes everyone near and far.
