I’ve always been a sporty, athletic girl—someone who naturally gravitated toward running shoes over high heels. Growing up, that wasn’t always easy. I was often playing with the boys and hearing things like, “you’re good—for a girl.” But over time, I realized that women are absolute athletic powerhouses. We are stronger than people think, faster than many believe, and more determined than anyone could imagine.
Girls on the Run matters to me because it empowers young girls to see that strength in themselves—to believe that they can do anything they set their minds to. I want every girl to access that power and unlock her full potential. I run for every woman out there who can—and even for those who can’t. This cause is deeply personal to me, and I’m proud to run for something that celebrates the strength, spirit, and resilience of women everywhere.
