When I was in college, I traveled to New York City a few times for service projects with Alpha Phi Omega. I remember walking the streets, surrounded by the energy of the city, knowing I was there for something bigger than myself. Those moments stayed with me. They shaped how I see service, community, and the impact we can have on others. At the time, I didn’t realize just how much those experiences would mean to me later in life.
Now, years later, I have the chance to return to that same city—but in a completely different way, with an even deeper purpose.
On November 1, I will be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in support of Girls on the Run NYC.
This isn’t just a race for me. It’s a full-circle moment.
Girls on the Run is more than a program—it’s a place where young girls learn who they are, build confidence, form meaningful friendships, and discover their strength. They learn that their voice matters. That they can overcome hard things. That they belong. And that’s something every girl deserves to feel.
Running this marathon is my way of giving back to a city that gave me so much—and continuing a journey of service that started years ago. Only now, I get to run every mile with purpose, knowing it’s helping empower the next generation.
So I’m asking—will you be part of this story with me?
Your support, no matter the amount, helps make programs like Girls on the Run possible. It helps a girl find her confidence, her voice, and her belief in herself.
Together, we can make an impact—one mile, one girl, one step at a time.
Will you consider making a gift today?
