On November 1, I am running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Girls on the Run NYC.
My first marathon was about supporting my son during a really challenging season in his life. He was doing something incredibly hard, and I wanted to meet him in that space by doing something hard too. It was my way of saying, “I’m with you.”
This marathon is for my daughter.
As she builds her own path, she inspires me more than she probably realizes. Watching her step into her strength pushes me to keep stepping into mine. I want her to see that courage doesn’t have an expiration date and that we are never finished becoming braver, stronger versions of ourselves. I hope when she sees me training on tired mornings and pushing through long miles, she feels what I’ve always wanted her to know: she is capable of extraordinary things, and so am I.
