Anyone who knows me knows how much Disney means to me.
What you may not know is that next year I turn 50, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I want that milestone to represent. For me, it isn’t about looking back. It’s about looking forward with gratitude, purpose, and a commitment to paying forward some of the opportunities and encouragement I’ve been fortunate to receive throughout my life.
For years, running a race at Disney World has been on my bucket list. I always imagined someday crossing that finish line, surrounded by the magic of a place that has brought me so much joy. And to get a photo with Bing Bong!
Well, next year, “someday” arrives.
To celebrate my 50th year, I’ve decided to take on the Disney World Half Marathon. More importantly, I’ve decided to use this experience to support a mission I deeply believe in: helping young people discover their confidence, strength, and potential.
That’s why I’m proud to be fundraising for Girls on the Run South Florida.
Girls on the Run helps young girls build confidence, develop life skills, and realize that they are capable of far more than they may believe. Their work is about empowerment, resilience, and helping young people find their voice. Those are values worth investing in.
As I prepare for this race, I’m not just marking the first 50 years of my life. I’m setting an intention for the next 50. I want them to be defined by purpose, service, growth, and helping others discover what is possible for themselves.
If you’re able, I hope you’ll consider supporting this journey with a donation. Every contribution helps Girls on the Run continue changing lives and creating opportunities for young girls to build confidence and pursue their dreams.
Thank you for helping me celebrate this milestone in a way that gives something back.
