As a previous coach and current board member, I’m deeply passionate about Girls on the Run. GOTR is an after school program that empowers elementary school girls to build strength, resilience, and confidence through running. This spring in Colorado, over 25,000 girls across 153 schools are participating, with more than 70% relying on scholarships funded by generous donors. We annually provide $520,000 in tuition assistance to ensure every girl has the chance to thrive.
This year, I’m channeling the courage and determination of the girls I’ve coached, and setting out on my own bold challenge. Though I’ve called Colorado home for years, I’ve never climbed a 14er. As a part of the GOTR 14er Challenge, I’m training to summit not one, but two, Mt. Massive and Mt. Elbert, back-to-back in a single July weekend.
My goal is to raise $2,500 - enough to fully fund one Girls on the Run team for an entire season. Together, we can give these young girls the opportunity to discover their strength, their voices, and their unstoppable spirit.
