On November 1, 2026, I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon, partnering with Girls on the Run NYC, a transformative running-based program. This organization creates programs for young girls, using a research-based curriculum designed to help us better understand ourselves and how we can have an impact on the world. They teach essential life skills, reminding us who we can be in cases of doubt and uncertainty, and how to treat one another (ourselves included) with care and compassion.
Throughout my life, running has been a place of healing and self-reflection. I remember when I first started running cross-country in high school, at the end of every training session or race, I felt so proud that I had accomplished the task itself. Running is freedom - it's a remarkable privilege and act of revolution - to run and use one's legs to physically move oneself in space. It requires patience, persistence, and a whole lot of gumption. I am so excited and honored to get back to my roots and support other young people on a journey to self-love, founded on the principles that we are braver than we believe, stronger than we seem, and smarter than we think. To the Moon and Back!
A few fun perks to supporting this campaign:
- For every $2 donation, you can put a bid in to guess the my finishing time! The closest guess gets a special prize!
- For every $10 dollar donation, your name will be added to my list of supporters arm bands that I will wear on race day - you will always be a foundational part of this!
- For every $15 dollar donation, you can pick a song to be added to my training and running list!
