Running has changed my life both physically and mentally. It has taught me important skills like perseverance and accountability, it has been that one place where my mind can wander freely and introduced me to amazing women that have become lifelong friends. I’m choosing to run for Girls on the Run at the Eugene Marathon because I want future generations of girls to have the opportunity to be introduced to a sport that can truly be transformative. I think this year more than ever, where funding for education and sports are facing cuts, supporting organizations like Girls on The Run is going to be critical. If you have the means to support Girls on the Run please consider knowing you are contributing to the growth of our future female leaders.
