Supporting Girls on the Run is important to me because education and youth development have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I grew up in my mom’s daycare, first as one of the kids learning and exploring, and later as a teacher’s aide helping support the next group of little learners. Being in that environment taught me the power of patience, encouragement, and consistent support, and it showed me how meaningful it is when children have adults who believe in them. Around the same time, gymnastics became another major influence in my life. It taught me discipline, confidence, and what it means to grow through movement.
Those experiences shaped who I am and helped me realize that educating young people and empowering them through physical activity are two lifelong passions of mine. Girls on the Run brings both of those worlds together, and that is why I am committed to helping make the program accessible to as many girls as possible.
