Helping girls discover the strength that's already within them.
Last year, for my first peer-to-peer campaign as a board member of Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati, I asked my community to help girls “Run the World.”
This year, I'm thinking about something even bigger: What does it take to help a girl grow stronger?
As the mom of a young girl, that question has become increasingly personal to me. I want my daughter to grow up knowing her voice matters, absolutely. But I also want her to have the confidence to make decisions, the resilience to navigate challenges, the courage to try something new, the compassion to support others, and the strength to keep moving when life gets hard.
I want that for every girl.
That's a big part of why I serve on the board of Girls on the Run.
Girls on the Run isn't simply about running. Its research-based curriculum helps girls strengthen their social, emotional, and physical skills so they are better equipped to navigate life's experiences. Through movement, connection, and meaningful lessons, girls develop confidence and life skills while discovering their own limitless potential.
This year's Girls on the Run campaign theme is “Lift Her Voice: Your Gift Speaks Volumes.” And to me, lifting her voice is part of something even bigger: helping her become stronger in every sense of the word.
Strong enough to speak up.
Strong enough to listen.
Strong enough to make her own choices.
Strong enough to support someone else.
Strong enough to stumble, get back up, and keep going.
Strong enough to know that she belongs.
That's why I'm once again asking my friends, family, colleagues, and community to join me.
Your gift helps create opportunities for more girls to build the confidence, connections, skills, and strength they'll carry well beyond the finish line.
Together, let's help girls discover just how STRONG they already are. 🩷
So, if you can, please donate to help me in reaching my goal! Any dollar amount will make a difference! - Thank you!
