As you may know, I am proud to be on the board of Girls on the Run Georgia, an organization working every day to realize its vision of a world where all girls can boldly pursue their dreams.
Our programs, Girls on the Run (3rd-5th grade) and Heart & Sole (6th-8th grade), teach girls a variety of tools to help them feel comfortable and confident in their skin. Once they’ve learned the magic of unleashing their confidence, they can tackle challenging situations like pros now and later in life!
What could be more important than that?! But we can’t do this work without significant community support. I need your help to make sure we can keep our promise that our afterschool programs can truly be for each and every participant, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
I’ve set a personal goal to raise $4000.00 to help with Girls on the Run Georgia’s big end-of-year need. Can I count on you? Here is what your donation would provide to local girls:
· $1,000 provides celebratory finisher medals for 1,075 girls
· $500 provides refillable water bottles for 300 participants
· $320 provides new running shoes and gear for an entire team that is in a high need area
· $225 provides the full program experience for one participant who is furthest from opportunity
· $120 provides snacks to one team that is in a high-need areas
· $75 provides unifying team shirts for 15 participants
· $40 provides one team with journals to capture and reflect on the lesson themes
And the best part is that I will match every donation, so your gift will go twice as far.
With gratitude,
Stacey
