Girls on the Run is important to me because I’ve seen how powerful movement, mentorship, and confidence-building can be—at every age. As an adult, running has helped me rebuild my own confidence, overcome setbacks, and reconnect with my strength. If lacing up my shoes can do that for me, imagine what it can do for a girl at age eight.
Not every girl has access to an after-school program that supports her whole self—emotionally, socially, and physically. Girls on the Run provides that safe, empowering space. It teaches girls how to express their feelings, build healthy relationships, believe in themselves, and set goals they never thought possible.
As a Board Member and 10 year volunteer, I have witnessed firsthand how transformative this program is. I have seen girls cross the finish line with tears in their eyes because they never believed they could run a 5K. I have seen confidence blossom, friendships deepen, and quiet voices become strong ones.
Your gift helps us reach more girls, offer more scholarships, and expand into more schools, allowing every girl, regardless of circumstance, to feel strong, capable, confident, and seen.
Thank you for helping me give the gift of confidence this season. 💛
