I’m thrilled to share that I’ve committed to running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon as a SoleMate for Girls on the Run NYC!
This means I’ll be training to conquer 26.2 miles while raising funds to support a cause that’s close to my heart. Why Girls on the Run NYC? Girls on the Run NYC is a nonprofit organization that empowers young girls through a curriculum that integrates running with life skills. Their programs inspire participants to be joyful, healthy, and confident, teaching them essential lessons about self-esteem, teamwork, and resilience. Currently, more than 80% of the girls in their programs receive financial assistance to participate.
As a SoleMate, I’m dedicated to ensuring that all girls, regardless of their financial situation, have the opportunity to benefit from this transformative experience. I’ve pledged to raise $5,000 by October 15, 2025, which will support a full team of twenty Girls on the Run participants for an entire season. This includes their 5K experience, running shoes, program journals, team shirts, and all the materials they need to learn and grow together.
