Running has been a part of the Higgs family heritage for generations. Colleen Higgs Harshbarger (GOTR-NCWV board chair) , Brynn Harshbarger (daughter), and Matt Higgs (nephew) are doing this run together and in the honor of Jerry and Lynn Higgs who continue to inspire us all. Jerry and Lynn were runners and completed the Detroit Free Press Marathon back in the 1970’s. We love the feeling of a good run, and doing the Michigan Planner Half Marathon at the Meijer Cherry Festival of Races together adds to our joy!
