SoleMates is an inspired and driven community made up of passionate people raising money for Girls on the Run while completing a physical activity challenge of their choice. Whether their counting miles on the trail, laps in a pool, reps in the weight room, or downward dogs in the studio, all SoleMates share in a common desire to be champions for girls in the place they call home.
Running, hiking, yoga, weightlifting, cycling, and more—train for any activity you are passionate about! You don’t need to be an athlete and you don’t need to finish first; you just need to dream up a challenge that works for you and commit to go the distance. When you do, you’ll have access to a personalized online fundraising page, resources to help you be a superstar fundraiser, one-on-one support from our Girls on the Run staff, branded SoleMates appeal and more!

- The California International Marathon (CIM) will begin promptly at 7am on Sunday, December 6, 2026, near Folsom Dam in Folsom. The start line will close at 7:30am sharp.
- The race will begin near Folsom Dam in Folsom and will end at the State Capitol in Sacramento.
