Fall 2023 5K Registration - Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte

GET YOUR CHEER GEAR, NOISEMAKERS, AND SPIRIT FINGERS READY! A Girls on the Run 5K is unlike any other event, as everyone who has attended one knows. It's a celebration of and for the girls who have finished the Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole program's 8-week season. Their enthusiasm is so unbridled on the day of the 5K that they are sprinting around before the race. As the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair "happied," and assemble with their teammates to join hands as they head to the starting line, positive energy abounds. Our 5K is a non-competitive event that will make you smile, and you will be glad you joined us to see this celebration of the infinite potential of our Charlotte GOTR girls!

All runners and walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K, which includes a t-shirt and a finisher's medal.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Participants and Coaches in the Girls on the Run and Heart&Sole programs have already been registered for the 5K and DO NOT need to register. Accidental registrations will not be refunded.   

T-shirts are available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.

Each Girls on the Run and Heart&Sole team has been assigned to a 5K event. Please make sure you carefully register for the right race. You may view the Charlotte 5K Teams here.

Cancellation Policy: All attempts will be made to hold the event whether rain, shine or snow!  It may be necessary to cancel if road conditions are unsafe or if lightening or ice is predicted. We will update the Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte website as well as our social media pages in the case of severe weather.  A final decision will be made by 6:00am as to the status of the 5K.

Refund Policy:  Your race registration fee is a donation to the Girls on the Run Scholarship fund. No refunds will be given even in the event of race cancellation, illness or injury.  With written request, registration fees may be able to be transferred to the next 5K.
