Girls on the Run Panhandle
Welcome to Girls on the Run – a life-changing, non-profit program for girls in grades 3-8.
Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Our teams of 10-20 meet two times per week for 10 weeks, make new friends, and learn about healthy ways to interact with peers, shut down negative self-talk, and stand up for themselves appropriately.
While our girls do train for a 5k throughout the program, our running is more about finding each girl's "happy pace", rather than competing with one another. The joy and confidence exuded by all girls at the Celebratory 5k, is always the highlight of each season, and we can't wait for even MORE girls to experience that, this season.
