The 2024 Girls on the Run 5K

Girls on the Run serving Maricopa & Pinal Counties is excited to host another fun-filled, unique and inspirational 5K! The event features super soft event shirts in your choice of ladies tank or unisex crew neck T-shirt styles and colorful event medals plus music, snacks, a happy hair station and other fun activities.

Support Girls on the Run
By participating in the Girls on the Run 5K you will help empower girls! 100% of the race proceeds go directly to Girls on the Run serving Maricopa & Pinal Counties whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Your support will help change the lives of local girls – empowering them with the tools and confidence they need to grow up to be strong, healthy, confident women who positively impact our community. Become a *Sparkle Runner*!
If you would like to run with the girls, this is for you! Be a moving course marshal and provide gentle encouragement and support to all our girls along the run. A Sparkle Runner is an adult female who runs the 5K and cheers on all of our girls as they head towards the finish line! Some Sparkle Runners may be paired with an individual girl to run the whole race with, while others will be asked to cheer on all the girls along the course and others asked to help to serve as sweep. You may come across a girl who got separated from her Running Buddy, is too fast for her Running Buddy, or just needs some extra encouragement! To become a Sparkle Runner, please register for the 5K and select "Sparkle Runner" as your event category. IMPORTANT NOTE: Sparkle Runners will be asked to complete a background check in order to serve in this role.

Teams: Consider getting together with friends, family, colleagues, running partners etc. to form a team! If you are interested in forming a team, your team captain must click on the Create a Team button when registering. Once the team is created it will show in a drop down box at the top of all registration forms for other team members to select. We will offer fun prizes for participating teams. (Please note that the team set up is for group and corporate teams and is separate from program site names).

1-Mile registration includes race entry, a super soft event shirt in your choice of ladies tank or unisex crew neck t-shirt styles, a finisher ribbon and other giveaways.

Teams:
Consider getting together with friends, family, colleagues, running partners etc. to form a team! If you are interested in forming a team, your team captain must click on the Create a Team button when registering. Once the team is created it will show in a drop down box at the top of all registration forms for other team members to select. If you are participating with a team be sure to select your team name during the registration process. We will offer fun prizes for participating teams. Parents please note: girls participating in Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole in the spring season do not have to register for the 5K event since their event registration was covered during program registration.
