Big Muddy Clean Sweep 2026 - Community Cleanups Signup
Missouri River Relief
Join Missouri River Relief for a cleanup on the 2026 Big Muddy Clean Sweep – a nearly 200-mile river cleanup running from LaBenite Park near Kansas City down to Cooper's Landing, from August 12 through September 29.
As the Clean Sweep moves downstream, we stop in select river towns to hold community cleanup days, encouraging volunteers to join us on the water to remove trash from sandbars, shorelines, bottomland forests.
Volunteers will arrive at the boat ramp(s) they signed up for at 9:00 AM for volunteer check-in then participate in a brief orientation talk and safety briefing. Volunteers are then fitted with properly sized life jackets and provided gloves, trash bags, and any tools needed for the cleanup site. Volunteers will be split into teams and head out to pre-scouted trash sites, returning to the boat ramp around noon.
