10/18/2025 Complete Chess Beginner Tournament Description:
This is a beginner (unrated) chess tournament open to all students(K-12) in New Braunfels and nearby areas. We will play on Saturday at 10 am until finish time 2:00 pm.
Location: 2290 Oak Run Parkway New Braunfels , TX 78130

Round Times:• 5 Rounds• Round 1 starts at 10:00 and subsequent rounds asap.
Time controls:• All Rounds G/15 Entry fee: Free.Profits go to opening a free chess club on the southside.
Sections may be combined if low entry.
• K-1st grade• 2nd-3rd grade• 4th-5th grade
Top 2 teams of each section win a trophy.
Winners of each section will receive ONE FREE entry to any future Scholastic Saturday tournament at our location at 6391 DeZavala Rd. Suite 113A, San Antonio, TX 78249.
Team Rules:
Teams are created based on school and divided by section. Competitors that share a school and section form a team.If more than four members are on a team, only the top four team members will count towards team score.
