The Cub (7-Miler) 2023

The Cub, a.k.a. "Valle Crucis 7-Miler," showcases the beautiful mountain community and countryside of Valle Crucis, NC. This 7-mile mountain road race will begin and end at the Valle Crucis School passing the Mast General Store and the Baird Barn, continuing over the Watauga and climbing to the Danner Cemetery (the most spectacular views of Valle Crucis). This route is hilly, steep, and challenging.  Valle Crucis is home to some of the most scenic spots in North Carolina. The Valle Crucis School staging area has plenty of parking, real bathrooms, great music, and real southern mountain charm.
