Girls on the Run Central Kentucky Spring 2026 5k Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls on the Run Central Kentucky!

Girls from across Central Kentucky will be coming together to achieve their goals on 5k Day.

Volunteers are essential to help our girls shine!

The 5k will be held on SATURDAY April 25th at 9 AM

Below is a list of volunteer opportunities and time commitments:

Below is a list of volunteer opportunities and time commitments:  

Friday, April 24th @ Kroger on Euclid (704 Euclid Ave)

Race Material Pick Up: 3:30 pm - 6:15 pm - Distribute materials to pre-registered participants.

Saturday, April 25th @ Kroger Field (1540 University Drive)

Cheer Station Participant: 8:30 am - 10:00 am - Please email naresha@gotrcentralky.org to notify her if you are coming with a group or need to be paired with one. 

Equipment Set Up: 6:45 am - 8:30 am - Assist with setting up registration tables, refreshment area, etc. May require some lifting.

Face-painting: 7:30 am - 9:00 am - Assist with easy designs for the girls - heart, peace sign, etc.

Finish Line: 8:30 am - 10:30 am - Distribute water and medals to GOTR participants at the end of the race, crowd control. 

Friendship Bracelets: 7:30 am - 9:00 am - Assist the girls making bracelets

General Volunteer: 7:00 am - 10:00 am - Assist Race Directors in need areas throughout the morning. May require some lifting. 

Happy Hairspray: 7:30 am - 9:00am - Assist the girls passing out hairspray and helping them with their hair.

Merchandise: 7:00 am - 10:00 am- Manage the sales of GOTR merchandise.

Parking: 7:00 am - 9:30 am - Direct individuals to the designated parking lots.  

Photo Booth: 7:00 am - 10:00 am - Assist participants with photos and props.  

Photographer: 7:45 am - 11:00 am - take photos of participants and volunteers.

Registration/Participant Check In: 7:00 am - 9:30 am - Distribute race materials to pre-registered participants.

Volunteer Tent: 6:45 am -10:30 am - Check in all volunteers, assist course marshal, direct volunteers, collect season materials from coaches. 

Water Station: 8:00 am - 10:00 am - Hand water to participants along the course.
