Girls on the Run of Central Virginia Fall 2021 Celebration 5K: Roanoke Valley

Anyone who has been to a Girls on the Run 5K knows that it is unlike any other running event.  It is a celebration of and for the girls who are completing a ten week season of the Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole Programs.  By the day of the 5K, their enthusiasm is so unbridled that they are running around before the race!  Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair decorated and tattoos on their faces, then gather with their teammates to hold hands as they head to the starting line. Our 5K is a non-competitive event that will bring a smile to your face and you will be so glad you joined us!

The following sites will be participating in this event:  East Salem Elementary, Bonsack Elementary, Burlington Elementary, Hurt Park Elementary, West Salem Elementary.

If your girl is unable to participate in this event, she may join us at our event held at Sweet Briar College on Saturday, November 20.  Please speak with your coaches for more information.

Unable to join us?  Participate as a Virtual Runner for $25 and we will send you a race t-shirt and medal.

Do you love Girls on the Run and want to give back?  Consider running this 5K as a SoleMate, and we will waive all registration fees.  All you do is commit to raising $262 by race day.   This money will be used to help pay registration fees for a young girl next season who might not otherwise be able to participate.  What a great way to share the love of running!  (With this option, you must also register separately as a SoleMate).
