In 2024, Girls on the Run SWFL served 814 girls across 30 sites, guided by the incredible dedication of over 125 volunteer coaches. More than 60% of participants needed financial assistance, and thanks to your generosity, we provided $47,085 in scholarships, ensuring every girl had the opportunity to participate and grow in confidence.Your support helps us inspire girls to develop resilience, self-esteem, and healthy habits that last a lifetime. OUR MISSION:
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through fun lessons that integrate running.
THE PROGRAM:
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a youth development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade that combines fun, interactive lessons with physical activity, including running. Our curriculum is designed to develop life skills, confidence, and emotional and physical health. Through goal setting, teamwork, and resilience-building activities, girls gain the tools to embrace their strengths. The program culminates in a celebratory 5K event that showcases their growth and reinforces the importance of perseverance and self-belief.
OUR GOAL:
Your support helps us make Girls on the Run accessible to all girls, regardless of their financial situation. Last year, we provided over $40,000 in financial aid to ensure every girl had the opportunity to participate.
