OUR MISSION:
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
THE PROGRAM:
Girls on the Run® is a 501(c)3 positive youth development program which combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Our core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development – their physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. Lessons help girls make positive decisions to avoid risky adolescent behaviors. At the end of each 10 week program, girls, along with their volunteer coaches and other community runners, participate in the GOTR non-competitive 5K Celebration to experience the exhilarating feeling of accomplishment! At Girls on the Run, the finish-line is just the beginning, as the ultimate goal is to provide our Girls with the tools and resources to develop their skills needed to be strong individuals, team members and community members.
OUR GOAL:
Our ultimate goal is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident! We want all girls to recognize that they are the leaders of their lives. Through our programming, girls are taught how to integrate physical activity into their daily lives in a fun, empowering, and social environment, while also building the courage to unleash their inner star power! We are gearing up for a BIG year in 2023 as we not only continue to build back from the pandemic, but build back even stronger! We have projected to serve a total of 2500 girls on 171 teams all across New Hampshire's 10 counties this coming year.By supporting Girls on the Run, you can make it possible for more girls to participate in this valuable program. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, your donations are essential. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
