Girls on the Run is a place where all girls belong....
Brooke is a shy and timid fourth grader. She has difficulty making new friends. She often sits alone at lunch, feeling like no one understands her. Brooke shares that she is yearning for a place to belong. To feel accepted. To be understood. With your help, Girls on the Run can be that place for Brooke.
Imagine spending the majority of your childhood in the hospital, unable to run around with your friends on the playground. Imagine your earliest memories being full of pain, loneliness and exclusion. For Annie, who has bilateral congenital clubfoot, this is a reality. Her leg braces make her feel different, and her peers tease her for them. Can you give Annie the chance to feel like she belongs?
It's an important time to elevate girls' voices and ensure that every single girl has the opportunity to build confidence, character, and leadership.
