Sustaining Access to Girls on the Run:
Girls on the Run New Orleans needs you — now more than ever.
Across our city, girls in 3rd through 8th grade are building confidence, connection, and emotional resilience through our 8-week program. But access to that experience isn’t guaranteed.
Why Now?
56% of participants in Greater New Orleans require financial assistance to participate.
We are proud to offer a sliding scale program fee based on family income of $20 to $200 because every girl deserves access to this life-changing experience. However, the true cost to deliver our program is approximately $450 per girl, per season. On average, families receiving financial aid contribute about $35. The remaining gap is covered by community support.
In the past, grants helped fill this difference. Today, with declining grant funding both nationally and locally, sustaining access depends more than ever on individual donors.
About your donation:
Monthly giving provides steady, reliable funding that allows us to:
- Launch new teams in underserved neighborhoods
- Train and support volunteer coaches
- Maintain safe, high-quality programming
- Ensure no girl is turned away due to cost
When you give monthly, you help remove uncertainty. You allow us to plan ahead. You help us say “yes” to every girl who wants to participate.
