At Girls in Gear, we are committed to ensuring every girl becomes her biggest, boldest, and brightest self - on and off the bike. Our research-backed curricula teach “life skills through bike skills” through interactive lessons for girls of all ages and abilities. Girls develop independence by learning to ride on their own, decision-making by planning safe routes and maintaining their bikes, assertive communication by practicing signaling and navigating road safety challenges, and perseverance by overcoming fears (hello, biking uphill!).
Girls are facing more pressure than ever - to fit in, to shrink, to sit still. In a world that can make growing up feel small, we remind them they are anything but. Every time a girl rides with us, she learns that confidence, courage, and community can carry her anywhere on two, three, or four wheels.
And that’s where you come in. At Girls in Gear, we are continuously committed to creating safe spaces where all girls can be their truest, most authentic selves. To do so, we're proud to offer a no-questions-asked scholarship policy for all our programs, including bikes and helmets, so that everyone can ride with us. Read more about our efforts here.
Your support ensures that every girl who wants to ride has the chance - with a bike, a helmet, and a team cheering her on. It means more first pedals, more finish-line smiles, more moments of bravery that ripple far beyond the handlebars. Because when girls can bike joyfully through life, there's no saying how far they'll go.
