Are you ready for the 5K?
Our 2019 Fall 5K events are just one week away! Girls in the program do not have to pick up their 5K bibs as they will receive them from their coach. All family, friends and community members running in one of the Girls on the Run 5K events must pick up (or have someone pick up) their timed race bibs and t-shirts to enter the 5k event course on event day. While Race Day packet pick-up is an option, it promises a long line, so we strongly encourage you to pick up your packet before Race Day. Our first packet-pick up event is this Saturday, November 16th in Chantilly.
All 5K buddy runners and community runners who come to a packet pick-up event listed below will be entered to win a $50 Wegmans gift card. Two winners from each location will be announced on our social media outlets and contacted via email.
Note: Girls in the program do not have to pick up their 5 bibs. They will receive their bibs from their coach and are encouraged to wear their Girls on the Run program t-shirt.

5k Registration Are you registered?
November 23, 2019 - Pfitzner Stadium Woodbridge, VA - 8:30 am start time or November 24, 2019 - Dulles Town Center Sterling, VA - 8:00 am start time
Online late 5K registration ends Monday, November 18!
Please note: Girls in the program do not need to register for the 5K. Their 5K registration & bib are part of their program registration.

Day of the 5K
You can meet up with your team at the assigned color corrals. The list of color corrals can be found on on our 5K page just under the packet pick-up locations. Go to the sign that matches the color and number assigned to your team site location (example: RED 3). There will be 10-foot tall signs that match the GOTR color code and number assigned to your team. When in doubt, ask any volunteer for help. Volunteers will be wearing purple smocks.
We also strongly recommend that you talk about a meeting spot if you were to get separated during the 5k event. The same color corral location where you began the morning is a great option for a meeting location if you get separated.

What about Inclement Weather?
We’ll see you at the race! Yes, the race will go on rain or shine. We are prepared to delay for up to 2 hours (in 30 minute increments), if needed, and then we will determine whether the race will be canceled entirely. There is no rain date for the 5ks. No refunds will be provided.
