UNSTOPPABLE....It’s true! Those words describe you…and our GOTR and Heart & Sole participants! We are simply amazed and inspired by them. With the support of their family and friends, they raised over $10,700 so that more can participate in Girls on the Run. Congrats to our top fundraisers: -
Anita from Triadelphia Ridge raised $1,000
- Dola from Pointers Run raised $500
-
McKenzie from Hammond Middle raised $491
- Clarke from Lime Kiln raised $500
-
Frankie from Columbia Academy raised $421.
We are truly grateful! |

| Join the MOVEMENT!
Build confidence in girls and empower YOUR future. Like their team, Girls on the Run coaches sharpen life skills and become more confident in any setting - classrooms, workplaces, and beyond. Girls have the power and potential to move mountains, but they may not know it … yet. As a coach, you can help them build the confidence to do hard things. We will provide you with all the resources, training and tools you need to lead the way. You don’t have to be a runner! No coaching experience is required. Contact susan.michel@girlsontherun.org to sign up or for more info! |

In 2015 we created the Lisa Martin Energy Award to honor Lisa Martin, the Founder of Girls on the Run of Central Maryland, for her 6 years of Leadership, Energy, and Dedication! We now honor a deserving coach each year with this award based on nominations from parents, fellow coaches, participants, alumni, and board members. All nominations will be reviewed by the GOTR staff and a decision will be made by the end of February, 2025.

Brandy Credle was the 2023 Lisa Martin Energy Award recipient. Brandy has coached for 16 seasons, hosting sites at Winfield Elementary and Sykesville Middle. She has also helped run mid-season coaches' meetings and organized supplies for teams. She has been a true mentor to new coaches. One parent said, "Girls would always be crowded around her, enjoying the praise she heaped on them and working hard as she encouraged them to be their best mentally and physically and make lasting friendship connections." We could not have said it better! Brandy is a true treasure to our organization! We appreciate everything she has done for GOTR!
