Community Access Partner Program

Eligible schools may apply for a slot in our Community Access Partner (CAP) program. This option is only available to a limited number of schools each season, based on GOTR funds currently available to underwrite the costs of these sites. Because our funding changes seasonally, schools must re-apply for CAP status each season. If your site is selected for the CAP program, individual registration fees will be replaced with a significantly reduced total "team hosting fee" that may be as low as $300 for a team of 8-15 participants depending on available funding. The school, school PTA, or after-school program partner organization may pay the total team hosting fee. No individual registration fees will be collected from participants.

Eligibility Guidelines: Over 70% of students qualify for free & reduced price lunch based on household income statistics, as published in the current school year's Department of Education report.

CAP sites will need to fulfill these additional requirements:

Review and sign a provided MOU outlining the CAP expectations.
Limit participant registration to enrolled students at the school.
Provide adequate space for the GOTR program at no cost to GOTR (the host school will need to waive or cover facility usage fees).
Provide stories and quotes from participants and coaches impacted by the program to support GOTR fundraising efforts.

Selection: Due to the growing demand of this program, we are not able to guarantee CAP selection to all eligible sites. A variety of factors goes into the CAP allocation process including level of need, geographical spread of sites, and demonstrated ability to recruit coaches and participants. For priority consideration for CAP, submit this site application as soon as possible, as CAP funds will be allocated in June for Fall season and in January for Spring season.
