2nd Annual Fresh Start 5K ~ Volunteer Opportunities

Girls on the Run-DC is a proud partner of the 2016 Fresh Start 5K! 

Take a step towards better health in the New Year! Join us at the Fresh Start 5K walk/run!

Volunteer Area Descriptions

Parking (7:30am) - Parking volunteers will assist with directing participants in the parking area and directing them to the Check-In Area.

Check In/Runner Info Tent (7:00am) - Before the race starts, runners and spectators may have questions. Registration Tent volunteers assist runners with picking up their race packets and t-shirts, and help staff with registration.

Water Stop (8:15am) - Water stops provide an opportunity for runners to grab water quickly and continue on with their race. Water stop volunteers will arrive before the race starts to set up the water station, then distribute water to the runners as they pass by, and clean up after the last runner has passed.

Start/Finish Line Volunteers (8:00am) - Specific positions in the Start/Finish line area will be assigned the morning of the race including water and SWAG distribution.
