THE EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

The Empowerment Project is the incredible journey of a crew of female filmmakers driving across America to encourage, empower, and inspire the next generation of strong women to go after their career ambitions.   The documentary spotlights 17 positive and powerful women leaders across a variety of lifestyles and industries while challenging the audience to ask themselves, "What would you do if you weren't afraid to fail?"

The Empowerment Project is an opportunity to bring together and celebrate strong, successful, inspiring, local women in leadership roles. By highlighting their accomplishment and exploring their personal stories, we can start to redefine women’s roles in the media, in the workplace, and in the home.   The Empowerment Project will connect local women to their power to have a positive impact on the next generation, including the 1,500 girls currently served each year by Girls on the Run Capital Area as supporters, mentors and examples of limitless potential.

Meet and network with those who are influencing and inspiring the next generation of female leaders at a cocktail reception prior to a screening of the 55 minute documentary, “The Empowerment Project" featuring GOTR International founder, Molly Barker. Molly will introduce the movie and facilitate a panel discussion following the movie.   The panel, comprised of Jessica Meyers, Jem Group, State Representative Patty Kim, and Marcia Perry, Perry Media Group will engage in a focused discussion facilitated by Molly Barker, which will include Q & A from the audience.
